Paul warned the church in Rome about divisive people. Apparently, they did not heed his advice very well. Philippians reveals that 2 years after he wrote this warning, they were, indeed, at work in the Roman church. Today, most churches are just as unlikely to heed Paul's warning, and the result is obvious.
