Power politics confronted Jesus and asked "By what authority do you do these things and teach these things?" Power politics utilizes human authority and human strength. Unfortunately, it is as often used in the church today, as it was in Christ's day when a group of the high priests, scribes, and elders confronted Jesus in the Temple and questioned His authority. We do not need power politics when we recognize and submit to Christ's authority.
